Providence Gridiron Club Names Hall Of Fame Inductees
The banquet at the Quonset 'O' Club is set for Nov. 8.

The Providence Gridiron Club has named its Class of 2017 to be honored for their Hall of Fame on Wednesday, November 8, 2017, with a banquet at the Quonset 'O' Club, 200 Lt. Brown Road, North Kingstown, Rhode Island. This year's honorees include Jack Jordan, former St.Ray's star, college player and college coach; Mike Salomone, who played at Central Catholic of Norwalk, Conn., and then coached at Narragansett High, North Kingstown High and Bryant College; Michael Gibbons, Rogers High two sport All Stater and current Hope High School coach; Frank Iannetta, longtime football coach and football and basketball official in high school and college; John Abbatte, longtime football official in the state of Rhode Island and an active member of several prominent boards and commissions; and, Tom Milewski, defensive coordinator at Cranston West and an active member of RI High School Football Coaches Association and the Providence Gridiron Club.
A special Meritorious Service Award is being presented this year to Jim Norman, the "Voice of The Rams", longtime, multi award winning broadcaster, past President of the Gridiron Club ( four times) and listed as one of the 40 "Most Influential Persons in Sports" in Rhode Island in the past 40 years.

Besides having "their night" on November 8th at the Quonset"O", the 2017 honorees will also get a brunch on Sunday, November 5th, at the Rhode Island Country Club.
