Saunderstown Water System Flushing Completed In North Kingstown

Recent water main breaks have caused discolored water in parts of North Kingstown.

NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI — Water flushing has been completed in the Saunderstown area to remove sediments stirred up during recent water main breaks.

All areas of Saunderstown are asked to now flush water lines in homes and businesses. It is recommended that filters and aerator screens be removed prior to this flushing.

To flush water from the system, it is recommended that residents begin running water from spigots and faucets outside and then move inside. It is also recommended to run washing machines and dishwashers empty with detergent once to clear the lines.
