State Police Charge North Kingstown Residents With Fraud

State Police said Kenneth Hamilton, 61, and Rebecca Hamilton, 50, were charged with obtaining money under false pretenses and conspiracy.

NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI – State Police charged two North Kingstown residents with obtaining money under false pretense and conspiracy to commit a crime on Tuesday. Kenneth Hamilton, 61, and Deborah Hamilton, 50, both of Saratoga Road, were charged by the State Police Financial Crimes Unit.

Kenneth Hamilton was charged with obtaining money under false pretenses over $1,500 and conspiracy. He was processed at the Wickford Barracks and arraigned at the Sixth Division District Court. He was released on $3,000 bail.

Deborah Hamilton was charged with obtaining money under false pretenses over $1,500, giving false documents to a public official, fraudulently obtaining assistance over $500 and conspiracy. She was processed at the Wickford Barracks and arraigned at the Sixth Division Court. Bail was set at $5,000.

Hamilton was also remanded to the Women's Intake Center at the Adult Correctional Institutions on a probation violation.
