Stepped Up RI State Police Patrols Nab Seven For Drunk Driving
More patrols are on the road during the holiday week, state police said, and they are looking for drunk drivers.

EAST GREENWICH, RI—State police have arrested seven people for drunk driving since Friday. Last week, the police announced extra patrols would be out on the roads looking for drunk drivers over the holiday week. The effort is part of the nationwide "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign. Besides the DUI arrests, the troopers also have been handing out citations for speeding, seat belts, and using cell phones while behind the wheel.
Here are the accused.
Eliseo Tzalam-Vincent, 31, of Providence, was stopped at 1:30 a.m. Monday on Interstate 95 in Warwick. He was charged with driving under the influence, first offense; and cited for refusal to submit to a chemical test; and driving without a license (or with an expired license) second offense.

Andrew Lombardo, 51, of West Warwick, was stopped around 8:35 p.m. Sunday on I-95 in Providence. He was charged with driving under the influence, first-offense, and cited for refusal to submit to a chemical test.
Frank Altieri, 53, of Providence, was stopped around 11:10 a.m. Sunday on Route 4 in East Greenwich. He was charged with driving under the influence, second offense; and cited for refusal to submit to a chemical test.

Joel Morales, 32, of Cranston, was stopped around 11:10 p.m. Saturday on Post Road in North Kingstown. He was charged with driving under the influence, first offense.
Ryan Leite, 27, of Pawtucket, was stopped around 11 p.m. Saturday on I-95 in Providence. He was charged with driving under the influence, first-offense; and cited for refusal to submit to a chemical test.
Danielle Delgizzo, age 28, of East Greenwich, was stopped around 10:10 p.m. Saturday on Route 4 in North Kingstown. She was charged with driving under the influence, first-offense; and cited for refusal to submit to a chemical test. Police had received 911 calls about an erratic driver, state police said.
Edward J. Parent, 68, of Woonsocket, was arrested around 8:40 p.m. on Friday at a crash on I-295 in Lincoln. He was charged with driving under the influence.
