Two MUSIC SCHOLARSHIPS available from the NK Community Chorus
Qualified high school seniors who are planning to continue their music studies at the college level are encouraged to apply.
The North Kingstown Community Chorus will award a $2,000 scholarship to a college-bound senior who resides in North Kingstown, or resides in Jamestown but attends North Kingstown High School, or who is an immediate family member of a current Chorus member. North Kingstown students may be attending either public or private schools.
The Janet Berry Scholarship provides a $1,000 scholarship to a qualified senior attending Narragansett or South Kingstown High School, or to a student who attends Prout School and also resides in Narragansett or South Kingstown.
Applicants for both scholarships must be planning to pursue further education in one of the many fields of music. The scholarships are competitive and are judged by professionals in the field of music. Applications can be obtained from the area school guidance offices or by downloading either application from the Chorus website at www.nkchorus.org. The application deadline is March 15, 2019.
