Wakefield Woman Pleads to NK Credit Card Theft
Lisa St. Laurent, 31, is ordered to pay restitution and assessments in return for her plea.

Lisa St. Laurent, 31, now of 304 Shannock Road, Wakefield, and formerly of 42 Ranger Road, North Kingstown, pleaded no contest on March 18 to a North Kingstown police felony charge of obtaining money under false pretenses.
St. Laurent was ordered to pay restitution and $450 in assessments, after being rejected for diversion. A deferred sentence was also imposed. A restitution hearing will be held in front of a magistrate in the future.

According to North Kingstown police reports included in court files, in April 2012 St. Laurent was accused of stealing a credit card while cleaning a home in Jamestown.
Police said that based on activity on the card’s account, security footage of St. Laurent using the card was taken from Washington Trust, Yorktown Market and Homegoods. Police said St. Laurent also used the card at Sovernign Bank, but video was unavailable.

According to police, the value of the transactions was $3,300.32. Police said that when confronted about the withdrawals, St. Laurent told them that a friend had given her the card to repay a $5,000 loan.

According to online records, St. Laurent has four previous arrests, all related to driver’s license issues:
- In March, St. Laurent pleaded no contest to a Warwick police charge of driving with a suspended license. She was ordered to pay a fine.
- In February, St. Laurent pleaded no contest to a North Kingtown police charge of driving without a license, or with an expired license. She was ordered to pay a fine.
- In October 2012, St. Laurent pleaded no contest to a Charlestown police charge of driving with a suspended license. She was ordered to pay a fine.
- In November 2001, a West Warwick police charge of driving with a suspended license was dismissed.
