Wedding Announcement: Jonathan and Shawna Alger

"Bare feet, ocean breeze, immediate family, simple attire, and friends watching from boats, kayaks, and surf boards out on the water."

NORHT KINGSTOWN, RI — Jonathan and Shawna Alger, like so many couples, had to change their 2020 wedding plans due to the coronavirus pandemic. Instead of rescheduling, the couple decided to make the best of it with an intimate beach ceremony.

Shawna described the wedding in her own words:

We had the perfect beach wedding (as my now husband says "his kind of wedding"). Bare feet, ocean breeze, immediate family, simple attire, and friends watching from boats, kayaks, and surf boards out on the water just under the Jamestown bridge. It was the most wonderful day within a year of chaos and it was very important to both of us that we kept our original date. 2020 really made us appreciate the little things, the importance of family, cherishing all moments and seizing the day. It will be a day we never forget and we cannot wait to celebrate with everyone again in 2021!
