Weekend Agenda: Slocum Grange Breakfast, NKHS Accreditation Kickoff
Your guide for life in North Kingstown for Saturday and Sunday Sept. 21-21.

On Saturday …
Slocum Grange Breakfast: Slocum Grange will be having its first breakfast this morning from 7 to 10 a.m. at the hall on 96 Slocum Road. The menu will be pancakes, eggs, bacon or sausage, cheese omelet, home fries, johnny cakes, toast, coffee, tea, or cocoa and orange juice. $7 for adults, $3.50 for children 5 to 10, free for children 5 and under. Slocum Grange is collecting food for the North Kingstown Food Pantry. A box is located in the Grange Hall. Proceeds from the breakfast support Grange charities.
Casey Farm Market: Every Saturday morning (from 9 a.m. to noon), the farm holds a terrific farmers market. The farm itself is beautiful and the foods for sale are both that and delicious. From 9 a.m. to noon.

Narrow River walk: Please join the Narrow River Land Trust for a guided walk at Garrison House Acres, a beautiful 26-acre coastal property nestled along the Narrow River in South Kingstown. The one-mile walk will follow a loop trail through deciduous woodlands, freshwater marshes, open fields and along salt marsh fringing the Narrow River. The walk is open to all, but requires modest hiking effort due to uneven ground and some wet areas. At 95 Middlebridge Road. 9 a.m.
Exeter Fall Festival: The festival includes horse-drawn hayrides, music performances, face painting, storytelling, Bjorn the Magician, R.I. State Police canine demo, Shadow Pines Alpacas, craft vendors, food, pie contest, and more. See the full schedule at http://www.exeterfallfestival.com/. Admission is $2 and includes two activity tickets. Children under 12 free. All proceeds benefit the Exeter Public Library. At Yawgoo Valley Ski Area, 160 Yawgoo Valley Rd, Exeter, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Whole Family 5K: Run through beautiful Goddard Park in this family-friendly, stroller-friendly 5K is USATF sanctioned and certified. Come early to talk to health and wellness practitioners about any minor injuries or health issues and stay afterwards to enjoy Save the Bay's free Beach Slam event (see below). Registration begins at 9:30. You can get your pre-race stretch on with yoga on the beach presented by All That Matters from 9:30 to 10 a.m. The race begins at 11 a.m.
Save the Bay Beach Slam: Enjoy a day of free beach activities at Goddard Park, including a rock wall, bouncy house, and local kayak vendors doing canoe and paddle board demos. This family-fun event also includes live entertainment, great food, rock climbing, and more. Admission is free. From noon to 5 p.m.
Community Accreditation Kickoff: North Kingstown High School is hosting a visiting team from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges starting Sunday. There will be an opening presentation for team members and kickoff for the visit. All members of the NK and Jamestown community are invited to the high school at 1 p.m.
