Due to heavy rains earlier in the week, West Main Street will be closed to through traffic on Friday, September 21st.
The western most end of West Main Street is underlain with concrete slabs that are in need of removal. However, rather than remove these slabs with a high risk that the storm could wash out the street, it was instead sealed up with asphalt. So, it is now necessary to complete that work under dry conditions.
During the construction, any raised structures on the street will be marked with cones and/or paint.
