Wickford Art Association Announces Re-Composed Classics Exhibit

The new exhibit is accepting submissions through May 7 and will be on display from June 11 through July 11.

NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI — Wickford Art Association (WAA), a nonprofit dedicated to educating, encouraging, and inspiring artists, has announced the launch of its new Re-Composed Classics exhibit this June.

The exhibit, which will be on display starting Friday, June 11 through Sunday, July 11 at the North Kingstown Beach Street Gallery, will feature works by member and non-member artists that are based on classic pieces but reinvented through various modifications.

Artists are welcome to submit their pieces for consideration through May 7. All genres are accepted and will be reviewed and juried for entry and prizes by artist Deb Hickey.

The gallery is open to the public Wednesdays through Saturdays from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, safety guidelines including mask-wearing and social distancing are in place and the exhibit will be available for virtual viewing.

Wickford Art Association has approximately 450 members from New England and hosts art exhibits, classes, lectures, and workshops. The nonprofit's mission is to inspire its members and promote fine arts in the community.
