Wickford Art Association Announces Winners Of Annual Exhibit
The Fur, Feathers, Fins exhibit will be on display through Sunday, March 7.
NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI — Wickford Art Association (WAA), a nonprofit dedicated to educating, encouraging, and inspiring artists, has announced the winners of its annual Fur, Feathers, Fins exhibit.
The exhibit, which celebrates animals in art, opened at the organization's North Kingstown Beach Street Gallery on Friday, Feb. 12 and will be on display through Sunday, March 7.
This year's prize-winning works, juried by WAA Juried Artist Member, educator, and painter Betsey MacDonald, are as follows:

- 1st Place: Monkey Trio by Lisa May, Cast Paper Sculpture
- 2nd Place: Beach Music by Ann Hagan Webb, Oil
- 3rd Place: Looking Out by Marc Jaffe, Photography
- Honorable Mention: Waiting by Jodi Manca, Acrylic
- Honorable Mention: My World by Paul Murray, Photography
- Judge’s Award: Messenger by Susan Sward, Gouache & Paper Collage
- Judge’s Award: No Social Distancing by Beth Johnston, Encaustic with 24K Goldleaf
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Fur, Feathers, Fins exhibit will be available for virtual viewing by Tuesday, Feb. 16. In-person viewing at the gallery is also open to the public Wednesdays through Saturdays from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Wickford Art Association has approximately 450 members from New England and hosts art exhibits, classes, lectures, and workshops. The nonprofit's mission is to inspire its members and promote fine arts in the community.
