Wickford Art Association To Host Celebrity Art Show & Auction

The new exhibit will be on display from July 16 through August 1.

NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI — Wickford Art Association (WAA), a nonprofit dedicated to educating, encouraging, and inspiring artists, has announced the launch of its new Celebrity Art Show & Auction this July.

The exhibit, which will be on display from July 16 through August 1, will feature artwork by influencers across Rhode Island media, business, politics, and arts. Each celebrity has also named a charity to receive 50% of the proceeds of their auctioned work.

The schedule for this event is as follows:

  • July 16 through August 1 - In-Gallery & Virtual Exhibition. Gallery hours: Wednesday through Saturday from 12 to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 12 to 3 p.m. Virtual gallery at wickfordart.org
  • July 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. - Preview Event, celebrities and invited guests may view the full collection, reception provided.
  • July 17 and 18 from 4 to 6 p.m. - Livestreamed interviews with celebrity artists hosted by Charlie Hall.
  • July 23 to 30 - Live bidding through in-gallery visits, phone, and online.
  • August 1 from 4 to 6 p.m. - Livestreamed Closing Event with representatives of benefitting charities hosted by Charlie Hall, reception provided.

Wickford Art Association has approximately 475 members from New England and hosts art exhibits, classes, lectures, and workshops. The nonprofit's mission is to inspire its members and promote fine arts in the community.
