Wickford Art Association Launches 9th Annual Poetry & Art Project

The project will become the association's October 2021 art exhibit.

NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI — Wickford Art Association (WAA), a nonprofit dedicated to educating, encouraging, and inspiring artists, has announced the launch of its 9th Annual Poetry & Art project.

The project, which will become the October 2021 exhibit, will allow artists to submit original artwork created in the last three years and accepted poets to write a response piece to one of the chosen artworks.

This year's theme for the event is "color" and both member and non-member artists are encouraged to submit one to three original works that have not been shown at previous exhibits by April 2. Approximately 40 pieces of artwork will be chosen to go on display at the October exhibit and in a limited edition Poetry & Art book.
