Registration for North Youth Lacrosse is happening now and is predicted to be an exciting spring season. "North Lacrosse is awesome and I can't wait for the spring season to start," said Cooper Berthelot, 5th grader. NKYL is open to all girls and boys in kindergarten through 8th grade, both new to the game, and experienced players.
This year, the new athletic fields at Quonset will be the official home of NKYL. Typically, teams practice twice a week and games take place on Saturdays. NKYL is part of the Rhode Island Youth Lacrosse League and competes against other programs across the state. North Lacrosse is always complimented as a top rated program with superb sportsmanship, community spirit, and exceptional coaching. Players not only enjoy the regular games and practices, but also special events like North Day, Laxtravaganza, playoffs, jamborees, and much more.
"I love playing lax, " said 5th grader, Annie Connerton. "The best part is being on a team that works together and scores lots of goals," she stated. Lacrosse is one of the fastest growing sports in the country. It is a fast paced game full of action, teamwork, and fun. "I love the speed of the game, shooting the ball hard, and the running," said 3rd grader, Marshall Rose.
