4 More Rhode Island Beaches Reopened To Swimming
Beaches in Portsmouth, Middletown and Westerly are back open, per the Rhode Island Department of Health.
PORTSMOUTH, RI — Four more Rhode Island beaches are back open to the public on Saturday, leaving just two closed at this time. Swimming areas in Westerly, Portsmouth and Middletown have been reopened.
Dunes Park Beach in Westerly, Sandy Point Beach in Portsmouth and both Peabody's and Third Beach in Middletown have been declared safe after bacteria levels returned to normal levels, the Rhode Island Department of Health said.
Both Camp Grosvenor in Saunderstown and the Kent County YMCA Lower Pond in Warwick are still closed at this time.
