Burma Road In Portsmouth Closed By U.S. Navy
Burma Road, which is also known as Defense Highway runs north to south along the west shoreline.
PORTSMOUTH, RI — The U.S. Navy closed Burma Road last Wednesday for paving and plan to keep it closed until at least October 12.

The U.S. Navy told East Bay Rhode Island that boat owners who need to use Weaver Cove will still have access via Stringham Road. Extra signs will also be posted.
