Cluny Country Fair Sunday Offers Food, Fun and Music
One of the longest-running fairs on Aquidneck Island is set for Sunday

The 53rd Annual Cluny Country Fair will be held Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the Cluny School grounds, 75 Brenton Road, off Ocean Drive, Newport.
The fair features carnival games with prizes, hay rides and field activities for children including a zip-line and a bounce house, home-baked goods, a plant sale, craft vendors, a silent auction, and much more. The Cluny Café will offer a wide variety of hot and cold refreshments for sale, and family-oriented live entertainment will be presented throughout the day. Entertainment will feature singer/songwriter and local legend, Jim McGrath, and square dancing by the “Town Howlers,” the oldest square dancing club in New England. Admission and parking are FREE, and a free trolley shuttle will run between the Rogers High School parking lot at 15 Wickham Road and the fairgrounds. The event is wheelchair accessible and will be held Rain or Shine.

The Cluny Country Fair is one of the longest running fairs on Aquidneck Island and is an important fundraiser for the school. Cluny School is an independent pre-school through Grade 8 Catholic School, which welcomes students of all faiths and nationalities, serving families from throughout Newport County. The school was founded in 1957 by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Cluny, and it is Newport’s only Catholic elementary school.
