Greenvale Vineyards is Portsmouth Business of the Year
The Portsmouth Business Association held its annual meeting on Wednesday and named Greenvale Vineyards as the 2014 Business of the Year.

“Greenvale Vineyards is a great example of the entrepreneurial spirit required to start and run a small business. Greenvale has become a leader in agriculture and tourism initiatives and an active and highly respected participant in our business community," said John C. Farley, president of PBA.
Greenvale has an extensive history of support for a variety of community organizations, the U. S. Coast Guard, the Boys and Girls Club, the Potter League, Visiting Nurses, the Aquidneck Land Trust, Seaman’s Church Institute, and more. Its owner, Nancy Parker Wilson, has given personal time serving on the Portsmouth Agriculture Committee, the Portsmouth Arts Guild, the Historical Society and most recently the year-long Portsmouth 375th commemoration.
Owners Nancy Parker Wilson and Nancy K. Parker were honored with commemorative items from the Portsmouth Business Association, the Portsmouth Rotary Club, the Town of Portsmouth as well as citations from the Rhode Island Senate and House.Â

Greenvale Vineyards is a small vineyard located along the Sakonnet River at 582 Wapping Road. Along with producing small batches of high quality estate wine, the vineyard offers tours, tasting and events in addition to spectacular views of the vineyards and the river.
