Happy Father’s Day From Christine Lineberger

"Some superheroes don't wear capes — they wear Irish caps and drink scotch.

In celebration of Father's Day on Sunday June 17, we asked Patch readers to write a letter to their father and let us deliver it. This is Christine Lineberger's letter to her dad:

My dad, my hero,

Some people say it but I truly mean it when I say that I wouldn’t be the woman that I am today without you. You served our country, you worked hard for our government, you volunteer to help friends, you prepare meals in soup kitchens and continue to do for everyone else, always.

I can’t thank you enough for every little thing, from the inspirational texts, to fixing and building everything we need, but most importantly just listening to me ramble. Some superheroes don’t wear capes — they wear Irish caps and drink scotch.

Cheers to you, Dad, for being the amazing man that you are, and thank you.

Love,
Christine
