Middletown Man Facing Charges For Second Restaurant Break-In

PORTSMOUTH, R.I. -- For the second time in a week, a Middletown man has been arrested in connection with a restaurant break-in. Police believe that Lino Loyola, 55, is responsible for a break-in at 15 Point Road Restaurant in Portsmouth.

The break-in happened on March 4, when restaurant employees reported vandalism and missing items, including electronics. According to Portsmouth police, nearly all of the food in the restaurant's kitchen was destroyed as well.

Loyola was arrested by Middletown police just after 7:30 on Tuesday evening and was charged with breaking and entering, larceny and vandalism. Police credited his identification with tips from the public, along with assistance from the Middletown and Tiverton departments.

This is the second time this month that Loyola has been arrested in connection with a break-in at a restaurant. Last week, he was charged for a February 28 break-in at the Boathouse restaurant in Tiverton.
