Newport County Youth Chorus Seeks New Members
Children in grades 5 through 8 are invited to join the middle school ensemble.
NEWPORT, RI — The Newport County Youth Chorus is looking for new members to join the middle school ensemble. Kids in grades five through eight are welcome. No experience is required, only a love of singing.
No auditions are required, and there is no fee to join. Parents can sign up new members on the chorus' website.
The chorus meets on Wednesday afternoons fro 3:15 to 4:45 at St. Mary's Church at 324 East Main Rd in Portsmouth. The first rehearsal of the new session will be Jan. 29.

As part of the chorus, children will learn music from different cultures and languages, develop their singing ability and learn musical skills. Classes are led by experienced teachers and musicians.
