Congrats are in order to Alexander King and Michel Nseir.

Newport Polo is pleased to announced its 2015 Most Improved Player and Sportsmanship Award recipients recently at its annual Player’s Dinner last week.

In voting by its members, the peer nomination process narrowed the field of players to two winners: Michel Nseir, a Portsmouth resident from Dubai, UAE earned the Sportsmanship Award, and Alexander King of Boston, MA was awarded Most Improved Player.

The annual awards banquet, held at Clarke Cooke House in Newport, also acknowledged sponsors in attendance, from NBC-10, Veuve Clicquot, Vanderbilt International Properties, Balfour Beatty Communities, and host, Clarke Cooke House. Ovations were made for the 2015 Best Playing Ponies. And special thanks were given to Polo Manager / Head Umpire, Dave Markell of Portsmouth, RI, and to the 2015 charity gala committee volunteers.
