Police Seize Opioids, Brass Knuckles During Portsmouth Bust

PORTSMOUTH, RI — A Portsmouth woman was arrested Thursday morning on Route 24 North on several drug charges. Police say Ashley Pierce, 24, of Third Street, already had a bench warrant when officers saw her driving near Cedar Island around 10:45 a.m.

When police searched Pierce's vehicle, they found 25 grams of heroin, Suboxone, brass knuckles, a scale and packaging materials.

Pierce was charged with possession with intent to deliver a schedule one drug, drug possession and possession of a prohibited, non-firearm weapon. She was held pending an arraignment in Second District Court on Friday.
