Portsmouth Coach Moniz Improperly Retained

PHS Committee's decision to retain Moniz as an employee is incongruent with the needs of minor students and, their very own reasoning.

The PHS Committee's decision, or lack thereof, allowing Ryan Moniz to remain on as an educator at the school, is wholly incongruent and, contrary to the very same reasons the Committee found unanimously true with which to remove him from the coaches position in the first place. They all agreed he was unstable, unsafe and, unfit to lead where charged with the care and development of adolescent youth. Where is the reason in this? In keeping the very same individual on after just admitting that he had to go? Obviously, the world we live in today, inclusive of this unimaginable heartache Mr. Bruno is experiencing... most always involves thinking about the legal aspects first; even though we know as a society and as a local community as well, that this is true in spite of the fact that it comes at a cost to our kids' safety and welfare. Are we saying that we are afraid of a wrongful termination lawsuit by Moniz, and/or that the Committee lacks the authority to fire him? Either is insufficient, and incongruent, to ensure that similar behavior cannot be allowed nor repeated ever again. The PHS Committee should be persoanlly and professionally ashamed of their untenable and unreasoned decision to not terminate Moniz's employment.
