Portsmouth Man Sexually Assaulted Minor: Police
Police say Jess Roderiques "inappropriately touched" a minor during the summer of 2010.

PORTSMOUTH, RI — A Portsmouth man was arrested early Wednesday morning and charged with child molestation. Jess Roderiques, 55, was taken into custody just before 6:30 a.m. in his Turnpike Avenue home on a warrant. He faces several charges of child molestation.
Police say Roderiques "inappropriately touched" a minor in Portsmouth during the summer of 2010.
Roderiques was arraigned in Superior Court later Wednesday morning and charged with three counts of second-degree child molestation, with bail set at $25,000 with surety.

The arrest was conducted through a collaboration of U.S. Marshals and the Rhode Island State Police Fugitive Task Force.
