Portsmouth Patriots Shutout Barrington 27-0
After giving up 56 points the week before, Portsmouth didn't let Barrington score and held them to only 115 yards of total offense.

PORTSMOUTH, RI — After a lopsided defeat to North Kingstown, Patriots Head Coach Matt Kestler used the past week of practice to get his football team focused on the fundamentals again. It paid off big-time as Portsmouth played stout defense and shut out Barrington 27-0.
The improvement was night and day compared to week one. After giving up 56 points the week before, Portsmouth didn't let Barrington score and held them to only 115 yards of total offense.
"Improving on Defense was the main focus during the practice week leading up to the game," Kestler said. "We stressed responsibility and team tackling, which we did very well."
