Sakonnet River Bridge Bike Lane Closing For Inspections
The lane will close from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, for two weeks.
PORTSMOUTH, RI — The bike lane of the Sakonnet River Bridge is closing for inspections this week.
The biennial bridge inspections will run for two weeks, the Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority said. Inspections will happen Tuesday through Friday this week, and Monday through Friday next week. As a result, the bridge's bike lane will close from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
