Stolen Portsmouth Middle School Tablets Recovered: Police
Police said they also arrested one person who attempted to pawn one of the tablets in Newport.

PORTSMOUTH, RI—Police arrested a Portsmouth teen and charged him with a felony in connection with a tablet stolen from Portsmouth Middle School. According to court records, Newport police charged Adam Conde, 18, with one felony (for receiving stolen goods worth more than $1,500) and one misdemeanor (for obtaining property under false pretenses.)
Schools Supt. Ana C. Riley could not say if Conde is a student in the district (due to privacy issues). She said eight iPads and three Macbook pros were stolen.
"All of the technology was replaced, and we had submitted a claim to our insurance company," she said. Riley also thanked police for the investigation.
