Thursday newportFILM Event Moved Indoors

There's a threat of wind and thunderstorms, so the event has been moved. Read through for some important info for RSVPs.

If you’re heading to tonight’s highly-anticipated screening of “What Happened, Miss Simone” by newportFILM, there’s a change in venue.

The event will now be held inside the Casino Theatre. It had previously been set to be held outside at Doris Duke’s Rough Point.

Meredith Nordhem said that they’ve been monitoring the weather all day and with the chance of high winds and thunderstorms, the move seemed necessary.

There are 290 seats at the Casino Theatre, so space is limited.

An RSVP for the outdoor event will not promise you a seat, so it will be first-come, first serve.
