The Aquidneck Stone Wall Initiative, a partnership between Preserve Rhode Island and The Preservation Society of Newport County, is training volunteers in the art of dry stone walling. Dry stone walls are built without mortar, which means their stability comes from the strategic selection and placement of stones.
