Two Charged With Selling Heroin: Portsmouth Police

Two people were arrested Friday in connection with alleged heroin sales in town, police said.

PORTSMOUTH, RI—Two people were arrested Friday in connection with alleged heroin sales in town, police said. Cara Matthews, 24, of Portsmouth, and Robert Langlais, 27, of Fall River, Mass., were each charged with two counts of manufacturing, possessing and delivering Schedule I/II drugs. They being held without bail at the state prison.

Police said they raided Matthews’ home on Roger Williams Court and found "a significant amount of heroin, oxycodone pills and packaging materials." The Portsmouth detectives, Middletown Police K-9 unit and the U.S. Marshalls Fugitive Task Force conducted the search. The arrests were made at 2:15 p.m., police said.
