Water Street Home Sells For $1.67 Million

PORTSMOUTH, RI—A contemporary home off Water Street sold recently for $1,167,000, according to Lila Delman Real Estate International. The home is sited on just over an acre with 141 feet of waterfront and has a deep water dock and a mooring, the realtor said. Measuring 4,385 square feet across three levels, this custom-built home includes four bedrooms, four and one-half baths, two fireplaces, a gourmet kitchen and an attached three-bay garage.

Alex Thursby, sales associate in the Newport office, represented the seller. He said the sale shows demand for second homes, and particularly vacation homes near Boston.

According to data from the statewide Multiple Listing Service, the price is the third highest in Portsmouth year to date.
