West Main Road Crash Sends 2 To The Hospital
A crash on West Main Road sent two people to the hospital on Sunday.

PORTSMOUTH, RI — Two people were taken to the hospital following a crash on Portsmouth's West Main Road on Sunday afternoon. Emergency responders had to force their way into one of the vehicles.
According to the Portsmouth Fire Department, the crash happened around 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of West Main Road and West Passage Drive.
Photos of the crash show two vehicles: one a blue sedan with damage to the rear and the second a red Hyundai SUV with heavy damage to the front, driver's side.

"Engine 3 members forced entry into one vehicle," the department said, adding that the two patients were taken to Newport Hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries is not known.
