Brown Medicine Announces New Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Shauna Finley, Ph.D. has joined its Warwick Primary Care practice located at 43 Jefferson Boulevard in Warwick.

WARWICK, RI - Brown Medicine, one of the largest medical group practices in Rhode Island, announced that Dr. Shauna Finley, Ph.D. has joined its Warwick Primary Care practice located at 43 Jefferson Boulevard in Warwick.
Dr. Finley, a clinical psychologist, brings to Warwick Primary Care over a decade of experience providing therapy for a variety of health related behavioral problems. She has specialized training in helping people with stress and trauma, generalized anxiety and worry, social anxiety, irritability, as well as panic attacks and phobias.
A graduate of the University of Connecticut (Storrs), Dr. Finley earned her Ph.D. from Kent State University (Ohio). She completed her internship at Syracuse (New York) VA Medical Center and subsequent fellowship at Maine VA Healthcare System (Augusta).

Since 2014, she has worked for Research Service at the Providence VA Medical Center on studies related to post-traumatic stress disorder. Dr. Finley also provides evidence-based, individual psychotherapy at a group practice, Rhode Island Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (RICBT) since 2019.
Brown Medicine’s Warwick Primary Care practice now offers integrated behavioral health services to its patients for their convenience, with services provided onsite. “We collaborate with our patients’ behavioral health provider, primary care provider and other Brown Medicine specialists to provide more well-rounded care,” states Dr. Francis X. Basile, Jr., director of Brown Medicine’s Division of Primary Care. “It is this integrated, team-based approach that sets us apart and allows us to ensure the well-being and resilience of those whose health we care for.”

Established in 2000, Brown Medicine is a nonprofit primary care, specialty outpatient and sub-specialty medical group practice with over 200 physicians and multiple patient care locations across the state of Rhode Island. One of the largest physician groups in Rhode Island, Brown Medicine is affiliated with the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in Providence, and employs most of the full-time faculty of Brown’s Department of Medicine. Services include but are not limited to counseling and therapy for mental health, psychiatric, marriage and family, addictions treatment, and emotional/physical issues such as eating disorders, anxiety, and more. Short- and longer-term therapy services are available.
