Brown University Awarded Most Fulbright Scholarships In Country
For the third year in a row, Brown University students were awarded more Fulbright scholarships than any other institution in the country.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- For the third year in a row, Brown University students have been awarded more Fulbright Scholarships than any other institution in the country.
According to the university, 35 undergraduates, graduate students, and recent alumni were awarded the prestigious scholarship in the 2018-2019 academic year. The grant is awarded by the Department of State and provides funding for students to study, teach, or research abroad.
The Fulbright program is very prestigious and selective, awarding about 1,600 grants to U.S. students each year, according to the organization's website. The program was established in 1946 and currently operates in 160 countries.
