PVDFest is now accepting submissions from local writers for "once upon a sign"
The festival will buy accepted stories to be published on signs that will be displayed throughout the three day event.

Two kinds of original work are being sought: stories or poems for adults/teens and stories or poems for families and children.
Each sign can hold about 600 words (A maximum of 3,500 Characters)

Works can be submitted here and close on April 30th, Writers must live in Providence and be 12 or older on May 15, 2019 to enter

For the fifth year, the City of Providence’s Department of Art, Culture+ Tourism and founding partner FirstWorks will host PVDFest, Providence’s signature art festival, June 6-9, 2019. Providence’s world-renowned art, culture and culinary community join forces with artists from around the corner and across the globe to deliver a once in a lifetime experience. Live music, dance, food, and visual art installations transform the city in a four-day, multi-arts take-over of public spaces, parks and outdoor stages in the heart of Providence, Rhode Island.
