Foxy Lady Shuttered For Good After Licensing Board Vote
Workers were allegedly offering more than the usual strip club hanky panky - and police said management knew about it.

PROVIDENCE, RI — The Foxy Lady, one of New England's most well known strip clubs that has been in business for decades, has been permanently shuttered after police said three strippers offered to sell sex acts beyond the usual strip club hanky panky.
The Providence Board of Licenses voted, 3-1, to revoke the Foxy Lady's business licenses on Wednesday. The Foxy Lady can - and likely will - appeal, according to reports.
The club has been closed since Tuesday, when three strippers were arrested on prostitution charges after offering to perform sex acts to undercover officers for $300, according to police. Police also said the club knew what the women were doing, an accusation management said was false.

Mayor Jorge Elorza said the Foxy Lady was running a "full-on prostitution ring."
The closure means some 200 people are out of a job, and many more will have to find where to get their Friday morning "Leggs 'n eggs" breakfast buffet.
