Rhode Island saw some of the coldest temperatures of the winter in the overnight hours. See how cold it was near you.

PROVIDENCE, RI — We hope you were asleep in a warm bed because last night was an absolutely frigid one. Temperatures reached some of the lowest points so far this winter in Rhode Island.
In Providence, the temperature swung from a high of 37 on Friday to a crisp low of 9 early Saturday morning. At 4 degrees, Smithfield was one of the coldest spots in the whole state last night.
Temperatures will come just shy of 30 on Saturday, but luckily clear skies will bring some warmth from the sun. Sunday is looking like the warmest day of the long weekend, with highs getting up to about 45 in most spots, according to the National Weather Service.
