Jesse and Hogg Bros, Snowhaus, Wax On @ RezFest 2 in Rhode Island

The morning weather was overcast but as noon came around it was a beautiful sunny day by the water at "The Island" hosts of 2018 REZFEST along with Greyfox Productions running the sound The organizers ran a 1st class rock fest today-tonight

The day began with a rousing set by Snowhaus http://www.snowhausband.com

Nathan Galloway has been performing as Snowhaus for 10 years for this Hadley MA based band. Along with Andrew Ring for a good deal of that time and a new bass player they have regrouped from a quartet to a trio. They played songs from their CD "They Don't End Pretty" and they had the early attendees totally engaged.

Snowhaus play somewhere in Fitchburg tomorrow night. I spoke with them after their set and they are currently performing all over new england so follow them on facebook, the band website or bandcamp. Fun performance.

Up next was Wax On and wow this is different type of music. I honestly wasn't sure if the 1st song was a sound check. Bizarre jazz rock fusion and experimental. Then came the second song and it really had everybody groovin to the solid bass and drums from this band out of Narragansett, RI,

You can get their album Homework there. What fun set as they quickly got into the Ska sound they are best known for and it got folks swaying.

What a nice day too, boats came by near the waters edge to listen in. There was Pizza and other food items as well as plenty of liquids to choose from. Next up for Wax On is a show at The Pump House Music Works in Wakefield RI with People Eating Plastic / Bochek / Grizzlies

Up next was a band that I'm not sure where to say they are from Jesse & The Hogg Brothers. Jesse and Kitty are from TX, JoeJoe from MS, Kash is from Quincy MA, Doc Hogg is from the Carolinas and The Great JoeBob Hogg is from Round Rock TX, all currently based here in RI and MA. They opened with 2 staples Onion Ring and Biker Ann and the boys were in synch. I noticed how much different they are when JoeBob is with them, he is a monster player on that slide. Kash joined Jesse on vocals with a little by JoeBob.
Jesse got the crowd laughing with "Reminds Me Of You" and even played the hogg-a-phone to begin the song "Fake It" Yee Haw! They ended with their single "Party In My Pants"
Up next was Joe Tudino who is just starting to develop his sound before he embarks to be a staple in the RI music scene with something new. With a ton of energy and ability he pulled off an interesting 1 man set.

Up next was Ahdri a beautiful young lady wearing fishnet stockings, OK I am checking this out even if it's performance art. Ahdri can play the keys well and her sound check was the national anthem. Her set was truly amazing including a lounge version of a Led Zeppelin song. Watch for her, very entertaining, solid vocals interesting arrangements and perfect end to a diverse 1st half of the festival.

We did not stay for the nightcap but everybody else did to catch
