Local Barbershop Harmony Choruses Set to Perform in Wrentham

Harmony Heritage will join with NoteAble Blend to Bring A Cappella Harmony to the Original Congregational Church on March 3, 2018

Harmony Heritage and NoteAble Blend, two local chapters of Harmony, Incorporated, an international organization of female a cappella singers specializing in the barbershop harmony style, will perform “Spring Into Harmony”, an a cappella Harmony Celebration, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 3rd at the Original Congregational Church, 1 East Street in Wrentham, MA. The performance is open to the public. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for seniors or children, and are available at the door or by calling 401-465-4349 or 508-742-7223.

“We always look forward to bringing barbershop harmony to the community,” says Anne Diggle, Harmony Heritage chapter president. “The choruses will perform a wide range of selections during this performance, and there’s something that’s sure to suit musical tastes of all kinds.”

Featured guests at the event will be For Heaven’s Sake, Harmony Inc. International Quartet Champions, as well as other quartets. Refreshments will be served and a Silent Auction will take place during intermission.

Harmony Heritage and NoteAble Blend choruses sing in the barbershop harmony style, which traces its musical roots back to the turn of the 20th century. Today, barbershop harmony singers not only celebrate the classics, but also put their own spin on contemporary songs as well.

Founded in 2001, the Southern New England chapter of Harmony, Inc., also known as the Harmony Heritage chorus, brings four-part a cappella harmony to the local community through regular performances and educational events.
