PROVIDENCE, MA — She's only been around a couple days, but she's already a trendsetter. Iris Cruz-Fray became the first baby born in Rhode Island in 2019, the Woman & Infants Hospital said.
Baby Iris was born at 12:21 a.m. on Jan. 1, coming in at 7 pounds, 6 ounces. Dahiana Fray and Anibal Cruz-Jimenez, from Providence, are the proud parents.
