Providence Teachers Negotiate Contracts With Administrators

PROVIDENCE, MA — City public school teachers are expected to negotiate contracts Thursday with school district administrators.

The Providence Teacher's Union earlier in the week voted for "work to rule" policies in the event contract talks don't go anywhere.

"Work to rule" means teachers would only work what's required under their contract. Things like extra help, student council, and other after school activities would be in jeopardy.
