Reading & Workshopping with Viral Poet Blythe Baird

Join ARMS for an evening of performance & workshopping with viral poet Blythe Baird.

Art to Reduce Mental Health Stigma (ARMS), a nonprofit arts organization whose mission is to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental illness together with artists and the media, presents an evening of poetry performance and workshopping with viral poet Blythe Baird. The event will be held on Friday, November 30th, 2018 at the Social Enterprise Greenhouse, 10 Davol Sq., Providence, RI 02903 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

At only 22 years old, Blythe Baird is one of the most recognizable names in spoken word and slam poetry. Originally from the northwest suburbs of Chicago, the viral and award-winning writer has garnered international recognition for her poems that speak to sexual assault, mental illness, eating disorder recovery, sexuality, and healing. Her work has been featured by Glamour, Mic, the Huffington Post, EverydayFeminism, VICE, The Mighty, Write Bloody, Button Poetry, and more.

Tickets can be purchased through Eventbrite and admission includes performance by Blythe, a poetry workshop, a chance to share writing if you please, and light refreshments. For more information on ARMS, visit their Facebook page.
