RI Foundation Offering $10k Grants For Community Projects

Local organizations must apply for funding by March 12.

PROVIDENCE, RI — The Rhode Island Foundation is offering grants of up to $10,000 to local libraries, schools, municipal agencies, and nonprofit groups to help fund community projects, said the foundation in a news release Monday.

Organizations must apply for the community grants by March 12 and proposals should spark community engagement, be accessible and relevant, create or enhance partnerships, promote public spaces, and have a meaningful impact. The foundation will prioritize proposals that include local support such as grant matching, volunteer work, or donated space.

"We are looking for proposals that will enhance the quality of life, form relationships and increase connections. Our goal is to make unique and important things happen that will enliven neighborhoods and build bonds that last," said Jenny Pereira, Vice President of Grants & Community Investments at the RI Foundation. “We also will consider factors like whether proposals will serve and are led by historically marginalized communities.”
