RI Foundation Offering Grants To Jewish Charitable Organizations

Over $36,000 in funding is available through the Bliss, Gross, and Horowitz Fund.

PROVIDENCE, RI — The Rhode Island Foundation is offering over $36,000 in grants to Jewish community charitable organizations, synagogues, and day schools through the Bliss, Gross, and Horowitz Fund, according to a news release from the foundation.

The Bliss, Gross, and Horowitz Fund awards grants to proposals that develop connections between the Jewish community and the state, deepen the understanding of Jewish culture through scholarship or historical preservation, or provide for basic needs such as food and housing.

Charitable organizations that provide any of the above services can also apply for funding to support capacity-building activities, including board development, strategic planning, and fundraising. Synagogues and dat schools can only apply for project support.
