False Alarm: Construction Work Trips RI Statehouse Alarm
State police said construction work set off a fire alarm.

PROVIDENCE, RI--A tripped fire alarm sent people scattering outside the Rhode Island Statehouse shortly after noon on Wednesday. But there was no danger.
According to Laura Meade Kirk, spokeswoman for the state police, a "fire alarm (was) set off due to construction work."
