Segue Institute for Learning awarded the Big Yellow School Bus Grant by RISCA, Rhode Island State Council on the Arts.

Segue Institute for Learning, a charter school serving students grades 5 through 8 in Central Falls, today announced it has been awarded the Big Yellow School Bus Grant by RISCA, Rhode Island State Council on the Arts.

The grant helps underwrite the cost of field trips to attend arts events such as live music, dance or theatre performances, exhibits at art museums, etc., as well as the cost of coverage for classroom teachers involved in the field trip.

Eighty students will attend a performance at Rhode Island College (RIC) by the RIC Dance Company in October. The performance which is designed to enhance knowledge of dance among young audiences is part of RIC’s annual mini dance concert series for K-12 students.
