Widespread Illness Closes St. Thomas School For Two Days
A high number of student, faculty, and staff illnesses has forced school officials to close the school on Thursday and Friday

St. Thomas Regional School officials were forced to cancel school on Thursday and Friday due to a high number of illnesses.
"The main concern is for the overall wellness of our school community," school officials posted on Facebook Thursday afternoon.
According to the post, a high number of students, staff and faculty are ill, and the decision was made to close the school for the "overall wellness of the community."

Students who are still showing symptoms of fever, vomiting or diarrhea on Monday should be kept home until free from symptoms for at least 24 hours.
The message added that safety precautions have been taken to help disinfect the school on Friday, including opening up doors and windows to clear the air.

St. Thomas Regional School is a Catholic school in Providence, serving kindergarten through eighth grade.
