POSTPONED: Truk-Away Landfill In Warwick To Be Discussed

Update, March 29: The Rhode Island Department of Health's March 31 public meeting about the Truk-Away Landfill has been postponed, with a new date to be announced "as soon as possible." The purpose will be to discuss a new health assessment of the site and give participants an opportunity to ask questions and learn about the project, the agency announced today.

WARWICK, RI — The Rhode Island Department of Health invites the public to a virtual meeting about the former Truk-Away Landfill. RIDOH staff will discuss their work evaluating potential human health impacts from the former landfill, and they plan to present a recent airport air quality report. Participants will have an opportunity to share concerns and ask questions, RIDOH announced.
