Lynn Dambruch Named As Superintendent Of Warwick Public Schools
The Warwick School Committee chose Dambruch to replace Philip Thornton, who resigned to lead the public schools in Cumberland.

WARWICK, RI — Assistant Superintendent Lynn Dambruch has been chosen to be the new superintendent of the Warwick Public Schools.
The School Committee named Dambruch to the top job Tuesday night after discussing her contract in executive session, the Warwick Post reports.
Dambruch, who has been Assistant Superintendent for the last 18 months, will replace Philip Thornton, who recently resigned. Thornton is returning to the Cumberland Public Schools to serve as that district's superintendent.

Dambruch has been with the Warwick schools for decades, starting as a teacher in 1985 and later becoming Director of Elementary Education. During Tuesday's virtual meeting, she thanked the committee for its confidence in her abilities, said she would work collaboratively with stakeholders, and promised to work hard.
